Dashboard Overview

The SimpleCommenter dashboard is your central hub for managing feedback, projects, and team settings.

The dashboard is organized into several sections accessible from the sidebar:

  • Projects - Manage your websites/domains
  • Comments - View and respond to feedback
  • Team - Invite team members and manage roles
  • Integrations - Connect to Slack, Trello, webhooks
  • Settings - Account and billing settings

Projects

Each project represents a website or domain where you've installed the widget.

Creating a Project

  1. Click + New Project in the sidebar
  2. Enter your domain (e.g., example.com)
  3. Copy the installation code
  4. Add it to your website

Project Settings

For each project, you can configure:

  • Widget appearance - Colors, position, button text
  • Form fields - Required fields, custom fields
  • Notifications - Email alerts for new feedback
  • Labels - Organize feedback with custom labels

You can have multiple projects on a single account. Each project tracks feedback for one domain.

Comments Feed

The comments feed shows all feedback from your visitors:

Filtering Options

  • Status - New, Open, Resolved
  • Labels - Filter by assigned labels
  • Date range - View feedback from specific periods
  • Search - Find specific feedback

Comment Actions

For each comment, you can:

  • Reply - Send a response to the visitor
  • Add labels - Categorize the feedback
  • Mark as resolved - Close the feedback item
  • Delete - Remove spam or irrelevant items
  • View screenshot - See attached screenshots

Speed up your workflow with keyboard shortcuts:

Mobile Access

The dashboard is fully responsive. Access it on your phone or tablet to:

  • Review new feedback on the go
  • Quick reply to urgent items
  • Check notification settings
