How do you annotate a live website?
To annotate a website, you normally need a browser extension or a screenshot editor. This tool skips both: paste any public URL and the live page loads in a viewer where you can click any element and attach an annotation to that exact spot. Annotations stay pinned to the element, not to a static image, so they survive scrolling and work at desktop, tablet, and mobile widths. Share the session link and your client or teammates can read and add annotations from any browser, with nothing installed and no account created. The website you annotate is never modified.
Tips for getting better feedback
- Comment on the exact element, not the general area. Pins anchor to what you click.
- Use the device toggle to review mobile and tablet layouts too. Most layout bugs hide there.
