Are these tools really free?
Yes. Every tool in this hub is free to use, with no signup, no credit card, and no watermark. They're built on top of Simple Commenter and exist so you can try the underlying feedback workflow without committing to an account.
Do I need to create an account?
No account is required for any of the free tools. If you want to keep your work long-term, sync it across devices, or invite teammates, you can upgrade to a free Simple Commenter account at any time.
How long is my data kept?
Free-tool sessions are stored for 30 days, then automatically deleted. If you sign up for Simple Commenter, your comments and projects are kept as long as your account is active.
What's the catch?
There isn't one. The free tools are a no-friction way to see what Simple Commenter does. If you find them useful, the paid product gives you persistent projects, team members, integrations, and the AI agent that lets Claude Code and Cursor fix feedback automatically.
Can I use the tools on staging or password-protected sites?
The web-based tools work on any publicly reachable URL. For staging, localhost, and password-protected sites, install the Simple Commenter Chrome extension — it runs on every URL and is free to use.
